Post Rain

We finally made it down to the beach to see the effects of all that rain.


All lot of sand was removed exposing some beautiful rock formations.


But that's okay. The sand will be back.

Finally, a Gym Meet

It seems like forever since Morgen had a meet. Probably because I've been eager for a chance to see how the new camera performs.


So how did it do? Not that great. I might have to spring for a DSLR next time.


Last season Morgen had two (growth related) injuries and back-to-back competition seasons (because she moved up a level). She was burnt out, stressed out, and ready to quit. Instead she eased back on her hours and regrouped.


I happy to report she's recovered, relaxed and gung-ho again.

Newport Beach

We've been hanging around the house a bit too much. So we forced the kids to come with us for a walk around Newport Peninsula.

It was in the 70's and mostly sunny for the last weekend of the holidays. But not warm enough to go swimming.

That didn't stop the kids from playing at the edge of the water and getting all wet.

Merry Christmas

Morgen was a good sport and went with Ian to Santa. Beverley and I had to feign interest in other things so Morgen wouldn't be embarrassed.


The other day, we saw Ian hanging a candy cane with a note for Santa. I asked him what he was doing, "oh nothing" he replied. He'd never tell you he believes, but he does.
